Worcester County Man Charged With Making Counterfeit Money

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Ocean City Police have charged a Worcester County man with making counterfeit money.

Earlier this month, officers conducted a traffic stop on 35-year-old Christopher Simone of Berlin, police said in a news release.

Officers say a search of Simone's car turned up heroin, drug paraphernalia, a large knife a police-style baton and counterfeit U.S. currency. Authorities say Simone was arrested on drug and weapons charges.

Detectives say they obtained a search warrant for Simone's home and found counterfeit currency and equipment used to print counterfeit currency.

Simone, who had been released from jail, was arrested again and charged with manufacturing U.S. currency.
