2 People, 1 Dog Displaced From Woodbine House Fire

WOODBINE, MD. (WJZ) — Firefighters and paramedics from the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue SErvices were dispatched to the 1500 block of Old Annapolis Road in Woodbine for a report of a garage fire.

Heavy fire and smoke conditions were coming from the garage and main structure and when firefighters encountered it immediately called it a second alarm.

Carroll, Montgomery and Frederick Counties all assisted with extinguishing the fire, which took two hours to control.

The person in the home and his dog safely evacuated from the home before fire crews arrived.

There were no firefighter or civilian injuries. Red Cross is helping two people and their dog who are all displaced.

The fire remains under investigation by HCDFRS Office of the Fire Marshal.
