Woman Who Drove Her Car at Police Officer Gets 10 Years

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — A woman who was convicted of driving at a police officer and striking him has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office said in a news release that 35-year-old Jessica McQueen was sentenced Monday in Glen Burnie District Court. She was convicted last week of second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and other offenses.

Prosecutors say on Dec. 5, 2015, a security guard at the Firehouse Pub in Pasadena was stabbed during a fight. Authorities say after the stabbing, McQueen drove away, striking county police Cpl. Larry Adams. Adams was treated and released.

Prosecutors say the man who was with McQueen entered an Alford plea to the stabbing.
