Woman Struck, Killed By Truck In Howard Co.

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A woman has died after police say she was struck and killed early Friday morning in Howard County.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. when the driver of a 2010 Ford F-150 struck a woman who was walking in the road on Washington Blvd. near Rt. 32.

Police say the victim, 52-year-old Sandra Nimeth Avila Carrera, of Savage, was transported to an area hospital where she later died.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the incident. Police say no charges have been filed at this time

Washington Boulevard (Route 1) was closed at Route 32 for approximately two hours.
