Woman Says Driving Instructor Propositioned Her With Sex Act

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration driving instructor has been charged after a woman said he offered her a passing grade for a sex act.

Authorities say 21-year-old Daniel Perry of Temple Hills was charged with one count of malfeasance in office after the woman complained to the man's supervisors.

Police say Perry was administering a driving test on July 9 to the woman, who failed to pass the course because she didn't fully brake at a stop sign. Court documents say Perry is accused of offering to change her score in exchange for a sexual favor.

Police say the woman said she exited the vehicle and reported Perry to authorities.

Perry is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25. WJLA-TV reported Perry's wife referred questions to his attorney.
