Woman Injured In Wood Chipper Accident

HALFWAY, Md. (AP) — A Washington County woman was rushed to a hospital in Baltimore after her hand became caught in a wood chipper.

The Herald-Mail reports that the incident occurred on the 16600 block of Virginia Avenue northeast of Williamsport, and was reported at about 12:45 p.m. Monday.

First responders say the woman was taken in an ambulance to the Curtis National Hand Center at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
