Woman Fatally Struck By 2 Vehicles In Aberdeen, Hit-and-Run Driver Sought

ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ) --State police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run last Friday in Aberdeen.

It happened Friday, August 7, 2015, just before 9:30 p.m., in the 1100 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard.

Police say Jennie Butler and her daughter were attempting to cross US Route 40 from the east side of the road to the west when she was struck. Butler was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Butler was struck by two vehicles. The first vehicle was identified as a gold 2003 Ford Focus who stopped immediately at the scene, authorities said.

Police say an SUV also hit Bulter, but fled the scene.
