Woman Critically Injured After Jeep Crashes Into Tractor Trailer

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman has been critically injured after crashing her Jeep into a tractor trailer in Howard County.

Police believe the tractor trailer was making a turn from northbound Route 32 onto I-70 in West Friendship when it was struck by the woman's Jeep.

The woman, identified as 41-year-old Gina Shears of Dundalk, was taken to Shock Trauma. She is currently listed in critical condition.

The driver of the tractor trailer, 28-year-old Robert Lewis Jr. of Baltimore, was not injured.

Investigators say Shears was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

No charges have been filed. Police continue to investigate.
