Woman Charged With Pouring Bleach on Target Customer

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police have arrested a woman they say poured bleach on another woman in a Wilmington department store.

The agency said in a news release that on Aug. 4, two women got into an argument in a Target store over shopping carts blocking the aisles.

Troopers say one woman grabbed a bottle of bleach and poured it on the other woman. Police say some of the bleach splashed onto a toddler sitting in the victim's cart.

Investigators say the suspect left the store and fled in a car. The two victims were treated at a local hospital.

Troopers say detectives identified the suspect as 39-year-old Lataka Mason of Wilmington. Officers say Mason surrendered on Tuesday and has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
