Woman, Brother Sentenced In Bank Fraud Plot

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A brother and sister from Cambridge have been sentenced for bank fraud in a scheme in which they used relatives' identifying information to get mortgages.

Fifty-nine-year-old Jill Dail was sentenced to 16 months in prison. Forty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Scott Dail was sentenced to a year in prison.

At sentencing Thursday in federal court in Baltimore, Jeffrey Dail was ordered to pay $248,000 in restitution. Jill Dail's restitution will be set later.

Prosecutors say Jill Dail did loan processing for a bank in Salisbury. Authorities say Jill and Jeffrey Dail applied for mortgage loans in the names of relatives and used the proceeds of the loans for their personal benefit.
