Woman Arrested For Blowing Up ATM

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a Philadelphia woman helped blow up an ATM inside a city business during an unsuccessful theft attempt.

Police say 34-year-old Tinikah Hogan faces numerous charges, including conspiracy and possessing a weapon of mass destruction. It's not clear if she has retained an attorney.

The explosion occurred around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday inside a beer distributorship.

Authorities say video shows Hogan placing the device into the ATM. She was accompanied by a man who isn't seen on the video.

Both then left the area, and seconds later there is an explosion. Several males then ran in and grabbed items from the top of the ATM, but Hogan and her male accomplice didn't return.

Authorities say the safe that contains the ATM's cash wasn't breached and no money was stolen.

No injuries were reported.

Police said Hogan's male accomplice remains at large.
