Woman Badly Burned In Frederick House Fire

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a Frederick woman is being treated at a hospital burn center after firefighters rescued her from a burning house.

Frederick County Fire Division Chief Kevin Fox says the woman was found unconscious near a back door of the single-family home on McMurray Street on Monday morning.

He says the woman was flown to the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Fox says a firefighter suffered an ankle injury while fighting the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
