Woman Accused Of Shooting 2, Killing 1 Outside McDonald's

WALDORF, Md. (AP) -- Officials say a grandmother is accused of shooting two and killing a man in the parking lot of a Waldorf McDonald's due to an ongoing child custody dispute.

Authorities say 51-year-old Carolina Conway shot 25-year-old Robert Mange after he and his 24-year-old wife came to the restaurant to pick up two young children who had been staying with Conway. Charles County Sheriff's Office Capt. Stephen Slavas says Conway got into Mange's car and shot him, then shot the female victim in the back after she tried to flee the vehicle.

Officials say both victims were taken to the hospital and Mange died Wednesday night. The woman is expected to survive.

Investigators believe the motive stemmed from an ongoing custody dispute, but it's not clear who has custody of the children.
