The advisory was set to expire at 11 a.m. Monday.
It was predicted northern portions of the state could see between 2 to 4 inches of snow and far western areas could get up to 6 inches, but nothing was expected to stick to the roadways.
WJZ's Meg McNamara said a mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain was expected to move across the state during the early morning, which could have caused slick road conditions.
