Reports: Ravens Offer Saints WR Snead 2-Year Contract

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that the Baltimore Ravens have offered New Orleans Saints restricted free agent receiver Willie Snead a two-year, $10.4 million contract.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because neither the Saints nor Ravens have announced the move.

The Saints have five days to match the offer.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has attempted to upgrade a passing game that ranked 29th in the NFL last season. Newsome previously signed free agent receivers Michael Crabtree and John Brown.

Hampered by a three-game suspension and a hamstring injury, Snead was limited to eight catches for 92 yards last year.
