Will Leitch Believes The Orioles Are A Contender Despite Recent Struggles
Will Leitch, writer and Senior Editor for Deadspin, still has faith in the Orioles being a contender for a championship. He wrote an article on Sports on Earth preaching for Baltimore to still believe in their team.
The Orioles are one of only five teams that haven't had a losing season since 2012. Leitch still has faith in the Orioles, even though they've been winless since he posted his article. He says, "every team is going to have a stretch during the season where the bats go cold especially one that is as boom or bust as the Orioles."
Will expounded on keeping his faith saying, "three games are not going to change my general view point that not only should people believe in Baltimore but people are overdue for believing in Baltimore."
"You can't ignore what the Orioles have done," said Leitch. He also praises Buck Showalter for being quite a "unicorn" of a manager that the city has fallen head over heels for.
Will went on to give more reasons why the fans around major league baseball should start having faith that the Orioles are a contender.
