Weather Delays Recycling Collections In Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick County says winter weather prevented the collection of some curbside recycling, so crews will be finishing the job a day late.

The county says that collection crews worked Wednesday to collect as many households' recyclables as possible, but crews will return Thursday to finish the job. The county says collections will start earlier than normal Thursday for those residents whose recyclables were not picked up Wednesday.

The county is asking residents who normally recycle Wednesdays to leave carts out on Thursday if the recycling hasn't been collected. County residents should also remove emptied carts from the roadside to help the county's snow clearing effort.
