WEATHER BLOG: Wonderful Summer Weekend

We are in the midst of a wonderful summer weekend with plenty of sunshine and warm temps across the region. High pressure is in control of the forecast and will remain nearby on Sunday and Monday as it slowly moves east. This will allow for warmer air to work its way in through the start of the work-week. A cold front will slowly push toward the region on Monday and Tuesday, leading to some thunderstorms breaking out across the Great Lakes Monday afternoon. This front will continue to press east and may set the stage for some strong to severe storms by Tuesday. This is something that we will have to watch very closely. Cooler and less humid air will move in behind the front on Wednesday and Thursday.
