WEATHER BLOG: Windy Afternoon

The relatively weak, moisture-starved, Pacific front will be crossing our area within the next couple of hours. After it passes, a gusty west wind will kick in for the balance of this afternoon, ushering in drier air.

Our temps for this afternoon will likely reach into the mid/upper 50s, given the expected return of sunshine and the downsloping westerly flow.

A clipper-type of system heading eastward tomorrow will have a sharp north to south temp contrast over a short distance. Readings will be at or above 70 as close by as central and southern VA.

Meanwhile, temps will stay in the 30s across northern PA and southern NY state with some steady snow there.

The core of our area will be in the relatively mild air tomorrow, so for now we expect highs on Tuesday to make it into the mid 50s with a few showers rolling through Tuesday during the late afternoon & evening.
