WEATHER BLOG: Weekend Forecast

We had a good soaking rain overnight with 0.25 to 0.50 inches in general across eastern Maryland west of the Chesapeake with 0.50 to 1.25 inches across the Delmarva Peninsula. The rain has ended and now it will become breezy with morning clouds giving to to some sunshine by this afternoon. Although limited by the clouds, even the small
amount of sun this afternoon could help to boost temperatures into the lower 50s later today. Colder air will filter in across the Northeast tonight setting up tomorrow to be a colder day, but really temperatures will be close to their normal values for this time of year.

An arctic front will sweep across the Northeast late tomorrow night and our weather will take another step down for Monday. There may be a brief flurry of snow as the arctic front moves through the region Monday and the Northeast is plunged into a deep freeze for a couple of days. The dramatic change to much colder weather on Monday and Tuesday will be compounded by a brisk, arctic wind creating wind chills and making our RealFeel temperatures drop down into the single digits during the mornings and not getting out of the teens in the afternoon. Our weather fortunes will reverse by Wednesday as the big chill down relents and our temperatures moderate back to near normal on Wednesday and Thursday.
