WEATHER BLOG: Very Cold Day

High pressure will control the weather across our region through tonight and then move off the East Coast by tomorrow.

This will shift our winds out of the southwest bringing in more mild air… but temperatures will still remain below average with highs near 50°. And with a good deal of low-level moisture in town, expect skies to be mostly cloudy on Sunday.

An upper-level low over Canada will then swing down Sunday night as a surface low forms over Louisiana and moves in our direction.

This surface low will bring us mainly rain Sunday night into Monday, however some areas well north and west may see a wintry mix of snow or sleet Sunday night with temperatures dropping below freezing in those areas.
