WEATHER Blog: The Smell Of Spring

Thursday morning, for the first time, you could actually smell spring! Light overnight showers moistened the ground and you could really smell the earth, not to mention the tons of mulch that has been put down area wide in the past few days.

By the way, have you heard the "peepers" yet? I have. "Peepers" are little tree frogs looking for mates. Usually you find or hear them in marshy areas and from what I could hear last night, their party is on!

It  will be mild for sure with a high of 62-64. It does appear that more rain will be in the area later Thursday afternoon and evening, plus Friday morning. Now unlike Wednesday morning, the bulk of that rain will be north of the Mason-Dixon line, but not exclusively.

If you are going to the O's game. there could be a shower around, but a rainout does not appear in the cards.

Saturday and Sunday look rain-free and mild, a pretty good weekend. And really isn't that the "true" headline?
