WEATHER BLOG: Temps Are Dropping

The rain is now ending across the region and temperatures as of this writing are "mild" and in the mid 40s. That will quickly be changing this afternoon & evening as the high resolution models have us dropping into the upper 20s by 4-5PM. NW winds will be ushering in the colder air and they will be moving in with force! A wind advisory is in effect for most of the region through midnight tonight. Sustained NW winds are forecast around 20-30mph, gusting up to 50mph at times. These windy conditions will make the colder air that is moving in feel even colder. Wind chill values will likely drop into the single digits tonight and Tuesday AM. Overall, Tuesday will be much colder than today with highs in the low/mid 30s, but high pressure will bring plenty of sunshine to the region.
