WEATHER BLOG: Sunny Tuesday; Rainy Wednesday

Sunshine will continue throughout the remainder of the afternoon with highs in the mid/upper 40s. Plenty of weather to talk about for Wednesday… temperatures, rain and the potential for flooding. Let's start with temps… Near record highs are expected Wednesday with highs in the low/mid 60s for most spots. The current record is 66, set back in the 1930s. Now onto the rain and the flooding… There will likely be a few showers around Wednesday AM, but the bulk of the rain won't arrive until Wednesday afternoon. A flood watch is in effect Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. The combination of snow melt and heavy rain could result in flooding. Most areas will pick up around 3/4" of rain, but locally up to 2" won't be out of the question tomorrow with any heavier rain bands that move through.
