WEATHER BLOG: Sunny Sunday!

After clouds and sprinkles for some this AM, the sky cleared out nicely allowing for a rather perfect summer Saturday in July! Tonight will feature very tranquil conditions as high pressure builds into the region bringing mainly clear skies and comfortable overnight lows in the lower 60s. Sunday will bring even more sunshine to the region with highs in the mid/upper 80s. As we move into the new work week, another trough or disturbance in the flow will be approaching from the west. Recent model trends are a little slower suggesting that Monday will at least start out with dry weather. In fact, some models keep it dry all day Monday. For now, we are going with a chance for showers during the afternoon (mainly for areas north and west). That trough gradually deepends over the region Tuesday and Wednesday as a series of short waves drop in bringing us more wet weather.
