WEATHER BLOG: Sunny Sunday

It was a wonderful day Saturday with the high at BWI reaching 75.

A broad area of high pressure will slowly move east of the region, shifting winds out of the south-southwest during the day today with plenty of sun. Temperatures will get to near 80 across the region today.

By Monday, sunshine and even warmer temperatures are expected as warm southwesterly flow continues.

Temperatures this day will be in the lower to even middle 80s. Similar conditions are expected during Tuesday, but as a cold front presses across the region, clouds will increase with the threat for showers and thunderstorms. Highs Tuesday will likely be well into the 80s.

The front will essentially wash out on Wednesday and there will be a chance of showers or a thunderstorm this day.

Conditions will be quite nice for the remainder of the week, with temperatures in the 70s to near 80 with plenty of sunshine. A cold front will very slowly move toward the region by either late next weekend or the beginning of next week.
