WEATHER BLOG: Sunny Monday

Following a cloudy but milder Sunday, the weather will really begin to improve as we start the work-week. Drier air will be building in from the north and that will begin to break up the clouds overnight. This will allow for more sunshine during the day on Monday. Along with increasing sunshine, temperatures will be several degrees warmer than Sunday. The area of high pressure supplying this drier weather will remain in control through at least Thursday. As a result, we will see dry weather with partly to mostly sunny skies from Tuesday through Thursday with temps turning seasonably warm. By Friday, an area of low pressure and associated cold front will bring the threat for rain to the region. Depending on the timing, rain will be possible anytime from Friday afternoon into Saturday. Assuming the storm advances quickly though the area, it should turn out to be a pretty nice weekend.
