Weather Blog: Sunny Easter

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Happy Easter! It should be a beautiful day for those Easter egg hunts.

The current surface setup shows low pressure in the upper Great Lakes that has a cold front trailing from it stretching southwestward across Iowa into the central Plains.

Meanwhile, a warm front extends eastward from this low into southern New England and this warm front has lifted well to the NE of our area. Winds are calm right now but will become WSW later today and we are squarely in the warm sector with dew points and temps steady around 60 right now at BWI-Thurgood Marshall.

Later Sunday, out ahead of the aforementioned trailing cold front, temps. will be off to the races with a 'blowtorch setup'. This continuous to support our forecasted highs in the middle 80s.
