Not as cold today as high pressure shifts offshore and winds turn to the southwest. Some sun, but clouds will be one the increase in the afternoon. Overall not nearly as harsh.

Things go downhill tonight into Monday morning as precipitation arrives while colder air is departing. This will lead to a potentially hazardous morning commute with freezing rain expected for a good portion of the viewing area. That said, things should transition to plain rain fairly quickly Monday morning. Problems will linger longer well to the northwest where a tenth of an inch or more of icing will be possible. Total icing less than a tenth of an inch in the greater Baltimore area.

Brisk and colder for Tuesday with sunshine returning… and things are likely dry through the end of the week. A potential system we've been looking at for Thursday into Friday looks even less impressive with the latest guidance... so no need to elaborate at this point.
