WEATHER BLOG: Sunday

As a storm continues to approach the region, clouds will continue to thicken across the region. Right now it appears that we will remain dry today, however by the late evening hour rain will move into the region. As the low passes to the north on Monday the rain will become more steady and heavy. With the cold frontal passage during the afternoon hours, rain will likely crescendo and then end, perhaps with a few snowflakes mixed in as cold air rushes into the region.

Temperatures on Monday night will get down into the upper 20s, and considering the amount of rain that will fall on Monday the possibility for some slick spots can't be ruled out. The bridges and overpasses are the most likely candidates.

Chilly conditions will set up from Tuesday and Wednesday, before some warmth returns on Thursday. While not as harsh as Tuesday and Wednesday, Friday will be cooler again as the next disturbance slides into the region, most likely accompanied by rain.
