WEATHER BLOG: Stormy Thursday

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla. has placed the area in its slight risk category for severe weather Thursday. The morning's action not withstanding, there may be an additional round of strong or severe thunderstorms erupting in the afternoon, especially if there's some sunshine and the temperature can manage to crack the 80-degree mark.

While some clearing is expected Thursday, we still must allow for a shower or thunderstorm Friday. On Saturday, the chances will be even less (probably about 20 or 30 percent), with areas located north and east of Baltimore being the most likely candidates to get some rain. Then, the rest of the Memorial Day Weekend (Sunday and Monday) is looking dry and also warm, with temperatures mostly in the lower and middle 80s.
