WEATHER BLOG: Spring Sunday

The pesky upper level system responsible for the continued cloudiness and shower activity will stick around for one more day, with a potent piece of upper level energy being its last gasp. Another day with variable clouds and spotty showers can be expected. The capacity for shower activity Sunday will be limited by a drier atmosphere, otherwise some decent storms would likely be firing for the afternoon.

Beginning Sunday night and into Monday, low pressure both aloft and at the surface will finally meander its way toward Nova Scotia, and high pressure will build into the Northeast from the Great Lakes and Ontario. Monday looks like a shower free day, with a decent amount of sunshine. Tuesday will see that high pressure continue its slow slide toward the region, however some weak energy coming over the upper trough to the west will mean perhaps a slight increase in fair weather clouds over the region, but nothing to ruin the nice weather.
