Weather Blog: Spotty Showers

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- The current surface map setup shows high pressure over eastern New England shifting eastward away from us today.

Meanwhile, a warm front stretching from near Chicago southeastward into southwestern Virginia will move northeastward today and cross our area later this afternoon into this evening.

Out ahead of this front today, a SE wind early today eventually turns S later today and some sun this morning gives way to more warm advection clouds by the afternoon.

A few spotty showers will be around late this afternoon into the evening to our W and N as well due to the warm frontal passage, then it becomes dry, partly cloudy and mild later tonight as the wind shifts to WSW behind the warm front.
