WEATHER BLOG: Slowly Warming Up

Slightly warmer, but still below average:

We broke a record low temperature this November at BWI. The old record was 20° set back in 1936. We clocked in with a new record of 19° early this morning at the airport. 19° is even low for January standards here in Baltimore. Winds will shift a bit out of the south tonight and tomorrow. That will help to warm temperatures in the 40°s by tomorrow afternoon. The warmth will be followed by another cold day on Friday with highs in the mid 30°. Then by the end of the weekend and beginning of next week… a system will bring us highs that near 70°, so an even bigger warm-up on the way but that also means that there is rain in the forecast.
