WEATHER BLOG: Warm Saturday, Chance Of Thunderstorms

A quick look at the weather map this afternoon shows a warm front draped along the NY/PA border. A weak area of low pressure is over central NY and these features are the focal point for the activity going on across the region right now. A line of showers and t-storms is approaching central MD from the west. This line does have a history of producing severe weather and is something I have been watching all afternoon & evening on radar. This line will cross central MD between now and 7PM. This unsettled summer-like pattern will continue over the next few days bringing us warm & humid conditions along with chances for showers & t-storms. A stronger cold front will move through on Tuesday and this will bring us cooler and quieter weather come Wednesday with Canadian high pressure settling in.
