WEATHER BLOG: Record Low?

An Arctic airmass moved in overnight, dropping temperatures and windchills to bitter levels. Tonight, we will get close to a record low, which is 10 above locally, as we look to bottom out at about 13 above zero. Windchills have been between zero and 10 all day long. Tomorrow, will not be as windy ,and we may get to 30 degrees with more clouds later on. By Friday night ,a winter storm watch begins at midnight for some light snow, then sleet, then freezing rain and finally by Saturday afternoon, plain rain. We will warm to the mid 40's by later on Saturday. Sunday will be even warmer, near 60 with some rain, then it turns colder once again at night. Monday, its back to a chilly start to next week, but not as cold as this day. Stay warm, don't forget your pets and animals.
