WEATHER BLOG: Record Cold

Good evening. Well, maybe not so great--just frigid!

Record cold is expected overnight as we may dip to zero in many areas. If winds really drop off and the skies clear, we could see some areas going several degrees below zero with the snow on the ground. Winds will pick up again for awhile on Friday, but not as strong as today.  Wind chills that are below zero will come up somewhat as well.

Saturday, some warmer air will begin to move in, and that will set the stage for some snow then some sleet and even a period of freezing rain, before slowly transitioning to rain on Sunday as it warms back into the 40s. Remember our normal high is now 46, and today we topped out at a record low max of only 18 degrees!  Take care and please stay indoors!
