The steady rain has moved off to the east and northeast and it looks like we can see some sun in at least parts of the area this afternoon. But with a strong upper trough moving in there will still be a couple of showers around, and there can also be an isolated thunderstorm especially for the eastern part of the viewing area where the low levels are apt to get a little warmer than elsewhere.

Tonight a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m., and then a chance of showers between 8 and 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. west wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 54. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
