WEATHER BLOG: Rain Is Coming

This Sunday morning is starting out beautiful with some high clouds pushing into the region allowing for plenty of filtered sunshine and temps currently in the low and mid 70's. We should make it into the lower 80's this Sunday, but clouds will thicken up later today ahead of some moisture from Bonnie that will stream into the region.  As of the 8 a.m. update from the National Hurricane Center, Bonnie has been downgraded to a Tropical Depression. Latest models suggest the rain arrival timing will be between 3-5 p.m. for areas south of the city and 5-7 p.m. for the city and points north. Rain will continue through Memorial Day with the heaviest expected during the overnight hours through early Memorial Day morning. We should have a break allowing for peaks of sunshine later in the afternoon and evening so the second half of Memorial Day is looking much better than the first.
