WEATHER BLOG: Rain Coming

A warm front will lift across the region overnight bringing rainfall into the predawn hours on Monday. Rainfall could be heavy enough to cause ponding on roadways and in poor drainage areas with rainfall accumulations between 1-2" possible. A flood watch goes into effect starting at 7PM this evening through Monday morning. A cold front will then push east across the area late Monday bringing the threat for an afternoon/evening thunderstorm capable of producing hail and damaging wind.
