WEATHER BLOG: Rain Ahead

Hi Everyone!

My wife's birthday is today. I am gonna catch hell about this rain, and this day's clouds from her friends at a "gathering" later. I can hear it now,  "Hey Marty couldn't you do something about this weather?" I figure to hear that at least 20 times. Pretty much as everyone walks into the house. Well if I could I would believe it. Not just today but over  the next couple of days.

Many things are on the "books" for tomorrow 7-3. And I have fears we could see rain tomorrow night too. I will, again, catch hell from those at various parties I will attend. I figure at least 20 times. (There are some Rodney Dangerfield lines somewhere in this discussion..just sayin'..)

This is all part of the cause and effect of a front stalled over the region. It could be worse..in 1981 we set a record for rain on 7-4 with 2.21 inches. At least the stuff coming our way over the next 48 hours will be, mostly, lighter than the record amount. Way lighter..

I am hoping for some good clearing by fireworks time Saturday night..otherwise you know what I will be hearing. Cue Rodney….
