WEATHER BLOG: More Snow On Its Way
Hi Everyone,
Well the weather pattern has certainly gotten active. We are looking at another event of Saturday, and then again on Monday. MEH!!!! Ok, let's deal with these in order.
Saturday..the storm, a Low, is coming up the coast. That means a snow/rain line. Right now we think that line will be close with the city, and suburbs around the Beltway in a "mix to 2"" band. Heading out to the West we will be looking at 2-5" amounts possible. Our weather partners at Accuweather are focusing on the GFS, the "American model." It is calling for a "glancing blow" here, with bigger amounts from NYC on to New England. Keep your eyes on this one.
Monday another "clipper. Another quick shot of snow showers. But this one will grab real cold air and fling it our way Monday night, and then through mid-week. I mean teens, and mid 20's.
Oh well tis the season for comfort food. Got some homemade Gumbo in the freezer waiting to be defrosted if we are snow bound Sat night.
Oh well look at it this way a few day's closer to Spring.
