WEATHER BLOG: Mild Temps This Weekend
High pressure will control our weather today and Sunday with sun, and very mild temperatures in the low to mid 50s! High pressure will slide off the east coast this afternoon and evening. Monday will be a bit of a different story as an upper level low swings through and brings at least some clouds as a low pressure system develops off the eastern seaboard. Given the interaction expected between the upper low to our west and the developing low pressure, we should not see much rain at all as it gets shunted out to sea. We will continue to monitor it for possible impacts especially the farther east one goes.
Behind this system, it will be a bit cooler, but still well above average for this time of the year. Temperatures will be well above their respective average of 46-48, as they approach the low to mid 50s through much of the week under a developing upper ridge. We will be watching a feature moving across the midwest by Thursday. Right now, guidance is split on the track of it, but it will likely cut to our west. We allow for a mention of rain because of this. By next weekend, we could be looking at some near record highs into the mid to upper 60s as the ridge really pumps ahead of a cold front. Colder air likely returns around day 10 (mid month).
Have a good day!
