WEATHER BLOG: Mild Morning

Hi Everyone,

As I type this at 7 AM, (yeah that's early , and no you never get used to it), the temp is 57 degrees..mild for the morning, but with our daytime high forecast at 58 it will be a chilly afternoon.

Mild for the morning? Let me explain to some of you fortunate enough to be able to sleep through these pre dawn, and early morning hours. The normal overnight low is 54. The chilliest part of the overnight, in any season, is just before dawn. So this daystart we trend above normal. Walking out every work day, this early, I can tell you it was most comfortable..but now here comes the afternoon with temps in the upper 50's. It will trend almost 20 below normal. Not seasonally comfortable.

Now for some good news..once skies clear out a fine run of weather will be in our Memorial Day holiday weekend forecast. A bunch of sun, and temps now looking 10-15 degrees above normal as we move into next week. with those overnight lows, I walk out into,  trending 10+ degrees above that normal overnight low of 54..

Bottom line..don't sweat the small stuff, there will be plenty of sweating in the next few days for us all  loving this Spring season.
