WEATHER BLOG: Last Full Day Of Winter

Hi, all!

So you may not have won the lottery, but it is not snowing. Almost a good trade off. ALMOST.

Welcome to the last full day of winter. This bad news is gone as of 12:57 p.m. Thursday when spring starts. You can tell how bad winter was when a warm front takes our temps to just normal. But the warm up continues with highs in the mid 60s on Saturday.

Back to the 40s Sunday/Monday, and we are still looking at some computer models calling for a chance of wet snow somewhere in the mid-Atlantic Tuesday night. Temps, by the way, would support that.

But with a full five days of  sun and the ground now really heating up, the effects -- other than mental -- will be small.

Hello, spring. Glad to see ya! Now do us a favor and stay around for a while!
