WEATHER BLOG: Heart Of Winter

Good evening, and happy Wednesday as well. After a clear and cold night, we do have slight chance of a bit of wintery precipitation on the way across the region later afternoon and evening on Thursday. A quick moving clipper will pass north of us but drag a front across the state as well. There will be marginal temperatures by late afternoon but probably cold enough to support a little bit of wet snow north of the city, with just rain showers south. Its possible along the Maryland and Pennsylvania border that about one half to one inch of snow may accumulate, otherwise, don't look for much more than a dusting or so across the city and northern suburbs. An arctic front will usher in very cold air later Friday and the start of the weekend. As that front crosses our area, it may cause a brief snow shower as well, followed by windy colder air Friday night. Bundle up folks, its still the heart of winter!
