WEATHER BLOG: Friday

What little rain there was is largely over with for the immediate Baltimore area but some showers will linger to the south and east for a time this afternoon and there can also be some spritzes out over the mountains.

Meanwhile some clearing will attempt to knife in from the north to northeast. While the models are still trying to hint at some dampness lingering into tomorrow along the immediate shore the weekend is looking pretty good for the rest of the area.

Even though there could be a stray afternoon shower in some places, we believe the day will end on a sunnier note, and most temperatures in central Maryland will be in the lower 80s.

During the night tonight, clearing is anticipated and tomorrow and Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine.

Highs both days will be in the mid and upper 80s.

Our next real chance for seeing some rain (in the form of a couple of showers and thunderstorms) will be late on Monday, Monday night and Tuesday.

The next front will be approaching the area from the west, and it could trigger some rain early next week.
