WEATHER BLOG: Flash Flood Watch

With a frontal boundary to our north, temps have already made it into the mid 80s this afternoon. Radar has definitely become more active since our noon show today, with showers and t-storms popping up across the region. Shower and t-storm activity will continue to become very widespread this afternoon and evening. The air is quite juicy over the area now with PWAT values around 2" or so. This is why we have to cover for the potential for flooding downpours with any showers and t-storms. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Tuesday a.m. for most of the region. Clouds will hang on tough tomorrow and the surface flow will be out of the north-northeast, so we are expecting a much cooler Tuesday.
