WEATHER BLOG: Excessive Heat Warning

An excessive heat warning remains in effect from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday for temperatures in the mid/upper 90s and heat index values around 110 degrees. Other than a stray storm this evening, we will be partly cloudy overnight and temperatures will be warm! Overnight lows will be in the mid/upper 70s and the metro will not drop below 80 degrees. Highs tomorrow are forecast around 97 at BWI with partly sunny conditions and a thunderstorm around in the afternoon. A front will edge it's way closer as we start the week bringing a better chance for a shower or storm to provide some relief from the heat. Even on Monday, heat index values will be around 105.
