WEATHER BLOG: Drying Out

Yesterday we talked about the deluge that occurred in the Baltimore area. The same mechanism that produced the heavy, flooding rain generated some very impressive rainfall totals in parts of south Jersey and central Long Island… all the way up to portions of New England. Things have quieted down very much here in Baltimore and the rest of the week will be very pleasant weather-wise. Skies will turn mostly clear overnight and both temps and dewpoints will fall to very comfortable levels. Tomorrow will also be very nice with a few cumulus clouds popping up during the afternoon and temps reaching into the low 80°s. Temps and humidity will be quite pleasant for mid-August standards through Friday.
